BHTF is conducting the Commemoration of the Move for Health Walk 2016 on 1st and 2nd October 2016 at Clock Tower Sqaure in Thimphu. The event includes a marathon and health exhibitions and the objectives are to commemorate the Move for Health Walk of 2002, advocate healthy lifestyle, promote ownership of BHTF and solicit voluntary donations.

Last date for registration for the marathon- 25th September 2016
1) Open Competition (12 KMs for both genders from Changlimithang parking to Babesa zero point then back to clock tower square
2) Veterans Category (Above 55 Years- 6 KMs for both genders, from Changlimithang Parking Area to Olarongchu then back to Clock Tower)
Prizes and certificates will be awarded to winners and certificates to all the participants who complete the marathon

Event- Bhutan Health Trust Fund Marathon
Route –Changlimithang to Babesa Zero point and back
Traffic- Vehicles from Lungtenzampa towards Babesa and from Babesa towards Lungtenzampa will be diverted towards the Old Highway at Lungtenphu during the duration of the Marathon in the morning of Saturday, 1st October 2016. Therefore motorists are kindly requested to cooperate with us. We would like to apologise in advance for the slight disruption in the normal traffic routine.

The applicants should have attained a minimum of 18 years and not more than 50 years.(others as per BCSR 2012)

The Annual Performance Agreement (2016-17) was signed between the Director of Bhutan Health Trust Fund(BHTF) and the Honorable Health Minister/Chairperson of BHTF on 27/7/2016. BHTF pledged to finance 100 % of the Essential Drugs and 100 % of the Pentavalent vaccines for the country which is going to cost a at least Ngultrum 335 million for 2016-17 financial year.
